The VALTO Hybrid LED Lamp offers unparalleled flexibility – it’s compatible with the existing HID magnetic ballast OR you can bypass the ballast to the line voltage (120-277V).
Ballast Bypass – Bypassing the ballast enables the best energy savings by rerouting the power around the ballast to power the lamp directly. In this configuration the ballast no longer consumes power, saving typically an additional 50W. This creates the optimum power factor of >0.95.
Ballast Compatible
This option is the simplest way to replace existing HID lamps, without the need for electricians: just change the lamp. In the event of future ballast failure, you can still use the existing asset and bypass the failed ballast to power the lamp directly from the line voltage.
The patented heat sink improves heat dissipation by 40% by adding a series of openings on the front face. This significantly increases the air flow to the center portions of the heat sink. In addition, the heat sink is made of pure aluminum, which has 2-4x better thermal conductivity than cheaper aluminum alloys. Such a design eliminates the need for bulk heavy heatsink or requirement of a fan.
VALTO 150E / 400E are designed to operate in fully enclosed fixtures at rate light output of up to 40°C outside of fixture.
