Each lens and LED is recessed into a micro-baffle that cuts off high angle light above 50o. The integral optic eliminates the need for the external reflector. This not only eliminates the typical 30% reflector loss, but the optical distribution is independent of any external reflector.
The combination of significantly superior optical distribution, no loss to glare, no reflector losses from the recessed can and poor lumen depreciation of competition resulted in 2×8 higher lux efficiency verses competitive technology
Example: 3x Brighter verses LED/ HID (Aberdeen Scotland)
Dramatic Side to Side Comparison showing 2-3x more light level against competitor LED and HID without glare.
Example: 8x Higher Lux Efficiency verses HID (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Dramatic Side to Side Comparison showing 2-3x more light level against HID in recessed at 1/4 power consumption.
Example: 8x Higher Lux Efficiency verses HID (Lodge of the 4 Seasons)
Dramatic Side to Side Comparison showing 2-3x more light level against HID at 1/4 power consumption.
Example: 8x Higher Lux Efficiency than Fluorescent, CSU Dominguez Hills
California State University replaced their T8 florescent with VALTO 600 resulting in 3-4x higher lux efficiency.
In warehouse photometric comparison, Filamento’s 20,000 lumens luminaire replaced the Acuity IBH fixture 26,000 lumen IBH and achieved higher uniformity and light levels. The result was 35% higher efficiency of delivered lumens.
The Filamento integral optics guide the light out of reflector without losses thus improving efficiency in such application by a further 30-40%.
The optical distribution enables excellent intensity that exceeds 400W HID in light levels and uniformity with Min/Avg>0.75 for spacing criteria SC=0.5-1.5. Simultaneously, low glare is achieved with a 50o cutoff using patent-pending micro-baffle technology. For most applications, spacing the luminaire at the same height of the previous luminaire will provide good uniformity and light levels.
